Privacy Policy

Effective 15 October 2026 · Applies to the RepsAndSteps app (Android, web and installed web app) and repsandsteps.com

RepsAndSteps is operated by Blendid Products LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app and website collect, why, where it goes, and how to have it deleted. Questions: support@repsandsteps.com.

The short version. Rep counting runs on your phone. Camera images are never uploaded, stored or sent to us. Workout videos you record stay on your device unless you choose to share them yourself. We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers in the app. Our website (repsandsteps.com) uses Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to measure visits and our ads; see "Our website" below.

Device permissions

The app asks for each permission only when you use the feature that needs it. You can refuse or revoke any of them in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working, and rep counting falls back to manual tap-to-count.

PermissionUsed forWhat happens to the data
CameraAI rep counting (ARTP): the app watches your body position to count reps and check form.Frames are analysed on your device by Google's MediaPipe pose model and then discarded. No image or video is uploaded or stored by us. The model files are downloaded from Google and jsDelivr servers when tracking starts.
Microphone(1) Sound on workout videos you choose to record. (2) Optional voice commands during a workout.Recordings are saved to your device and go only where you send them with your phone's share sheet. Voice commands use your phone's or browser's built-in speech recognition, which may process the audio on your device or on the speech provider's servers (for example Google on Android). We do not receive or store voice audio.
Location (web app cardio only)Measuring distance and pace during GPS cardio intervals.Location points stay on your device during the session. Only the totals (distance, steps, time) are saved with your workout. Your route is not stored.
Motion sensorsCounting steps during cardio.Processed on your device; only the step total is saved.
Notifications, vibration, keep screen onRest timers, set cues, and keeping the screen awake mid-set.No data is collected.

Progress photos, with the date, body weight, notes and tags you addSo you can track visual progress over time. Progress photos are not shown to other users.
Messages to the in-app AI assistantThe conversation is sent to an AI language-model service through Base44 so it can answer. Don't include anything you wouldn't want processed that way.
Community posts and any photos you attachShown to other users of the community feed. Only what you choose to post.
Feedback and support messages you sendTo answer you and fix problems.
Fitness-test results and app settings (camera side, sound on/off, saved workout drafts)Kept only in your device's local storage, not on our servers.

The app is built and hosted on Base44, which stores account and workout data on our behalf. AI workout plans are generated from the preferences you type in (goals, equipment, time) by an AI language-model service called through Base44.

Payments

Paid plans and programs are sold through Stripe checkout pages. Your card details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store them. Stripe tells us what was purchased and the email used. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data, and nothing from inside the app is shared for advertising. Data reaches third parties only as described above (Base44 for hosting, the AI service behind workout generation and the assistant, Stripe for payments, your device's speech service for voice commands), when you share something yourself, or where the law requires it.

Our website

The app has no advertising or analytics trackers. Our website, repsandsteps.com, uses two measurement tools so we can tell which pages and ads are working:

These tools use cookies and similar technology and receive information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, your approximate location and your IP address. We don't send them your name, email or payment details. You can limit this by blocking third-party cookies in your browser, through Meta ad preferences, or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and workout history for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and everything stored with it, open the app and go to Settings → Delete Account; we email you a code to confirm it's really you. If you can't sign in, email support@repsandsteps.com with the subject "Delete my RepsAndSteps account" from the email address you sign in with. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. Purchase records Stripe must keep for tax and legal reasons are retained by Stripe under its own policy. Data kept only on your device is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.

Children

RepsAndSteps is a fitness app for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

All data travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is less to protect.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app.
